Welcome to Justice Seekers! We look forward to hearing your views
and voice on the important justice issues that we face as citizens
of God's Kingdom.
The Justice Seekers community was created as a means to encourage
and support one another in our individual and communal roads toward
justice. We ask that you explore your own ideas and those of others
in a safe, kind, respectful environment.
Because we are Christians, this forum may look different – and call
us to a different kind of interaction – than other online
communities. We must ensure that all users agree to the following
values, and hold one another accountable to them, in order for
Justice Seekers to be a forum for Christ-like, robust dialogue.
Code of Conduct*
I will express myself with civility, courtesy, and respect for
every member of the Justice Seekers online community, especially
toward those with whom I disagree—even if I feel disrespected by
them. (
Romans
12:17-21)
I will express my disagreements with other community members' ideas
without insulting, mocking, or slandering them personally.
(
Matthew
5:22)
I will not exaggerate others' beliefs nor make unfounded
prejudicial assumptions based on labels, categories, or
stereotypes. I will always extend the benefit of the doubt.
(
Ephesians
4:29)
I will participate in community accountability by expressing
disapproval when the above terms are not met by others - not based
on
what ideas are expressed, but on
how they are
expressed. I will alert
Meghan Kraley,
site administrator, if I find inappropriate content on Justice
Seekers. (
Proverbs
12:18)
