Hollywood is finally catching onto the fact that people care about justice issues - and that says nothing about the thousands of documentaries already out there. What movies, mainstream or otherwise, are worth checking out?

Watch for a new documentary called A Body of War that is the true story of a young man named Tomas Young who joined the Army after 9/11 and was shot five days after he arrived in Iraq and left paralyzed from the chest down. He returned home, and did not receive the care he deserved from the V.A. and became a member of Iraq Veterans Against the War. He met Sen. Harry Byrd, one of the few Senators--23 to be exact--who opposed the war resolution. His health has been poor since and was in a coma at the start of June from an untreated blood clot. It is a powerful film produced by Phil Donahue, who is having a difficult time getting any Big media outlet (TV or Theater) to show the film, critical of the Iraq War, but has become a close friend of Tomas, his Mom, and family over the 2 years of making the movie. It is the side of this war that we have NOT been shown by network and cable media because the war is serving the interests of corporate America. Check out the web site bodyofwar.com and try to see this film and get your friends to see it as well. The truth of this war must be told! Shalom, Donald King
