For more than 30 years, civil war has raged in northern Sri Lanka. This past May there was a dramatic increase in violence as the Sri Lankan government attempted to reclaim the last stronghold of the Tamil Tigers in the North. Take Action for Darfur

Save Darfur Canada, a national advocacy coalition responding to the situation in Darfur, has posted a new advocacy campaign. They are asking people to send a letter and 15 grams of rice, beans or lentils to the Prime Minister in response to the World Food Program announcing a 50% cut in food rations in Darfur.
